INFORMATION SOCIETY / InSoc

Information Society (también conocidos como InSoc) es una banda originaria de Minneapolis, Minnesota, EE.UU. Su formación  la voz principal Kurt Larson (alias Kurt Valaquen/Kurt Harland), Paul Robb y James Cassidy, los dos últimos volvieron a reunir a la banda en el 2006, inicialmente con Christopher Anton como vocalista, luego con Harland se reunió con ellos como vocalista en el 2007. Su éxito fue en 1988 con el sencillo "What's on Your Mind (Pure Energy)", un sencillo de dance/synthpop que incluyó una frase de esta canción en Star Trek, Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) dice "pure energy", y ocurre lo mismo con el Dr. McCoy (DeForest Kelley), también en Star Trek, diciendo: "It's worked so far, but we're not out yet!". Son conocidos por su gran cantidad de  Fans en Brasil, Japón, España y Sud America. Information Society se convirtió en parte a la respuesta estadounidense a la Segunda Invasión Inglesa.
